Not kidding... not even a little...So now I am taking an antibiotic - preventative measures...And living in a bubble until the number comes up...
The worst part of this is that the PAIN that I have been having will continue until that number goes up. According to the doc, bone marrow production occurs mostly in the upper part of your body, hence the pain in my lower back, neck, sternum, shoulders...you get the picture...
But I did get a steroid that could help with the pain...here's the BUT - it will keep me awake...since I'm not doing much sleeping anyway I guess I better swallow down the steroid and make a To Do List for "Bubble Week".
Having NOTHING on my agenda = depression; therefore, I am confronting "Bubble Week" with a full list of senseless projects and unnecessary tasks...
If you are VERY healthy and want to stop by this week, give me a call - the phone works in the Bubble...

You need to download "Words with Friends"... I can play scrabble via phone with you while you are in your isolation bubble. I have a sinus infection right now & am on antibiotics myself, so I will steer clear so that your body can crank out those good WBCs with any threat from my germs. A fun solo game to download is "Angry Birds" (there's even a Christmas themed one right now)... it's rather therapeutic!!!
ooops see earlier post....that's WITHOUT any threat from my germs...
I hope your bubble time goes fast. Maybe you could scrap a little to help pass the time.
If you want a creative past time look at Tim Holtz's 12 tags of Christmas. He has 4 years to look at and some even have videos.
Just be careful while you are in your bubble not to get the QVC or HSN bug. Seriously if you need me to run out and pick up any supplies let me know.
Heather,
I know our cancer stories are different, but when PAtrick was undergoing chemo last summer, it seemed as if it was neverending. But I just wanted to let you know that it does end, and there is hope at the end of the tunnel. And I know with your wonderful attitude, you will get through this. I truly hope your pain eases soon. Bert and I are thinking of you and praying for you and your family. Love,
Jen
