If you read the post on Graduation, you can pretty much see the writing on the wall... But, I must report that Morgan did really well, and if I had that same adreneline running through me everyday, I might actually be in shape!
We had two meltdowns while getting dressed. Naturally, she wanted no part of me - but Daddy was able to bribe her with the promise of new Polly Pockets if she went to school. School told us to wait outside for the bus at 7:20 - we were ready by 7 - of course. So to kill time and keep the tears at bay, we drove around the neighborhood looking for other students waiting for the bus and then we went to a fellow Kindergartener's house to wait for the bus. Finally at 7:40, the bus came. Morgan ran on with her friends, and only had the deer in headlights look for a minute after getting on the bus.
I wasn't going to be "that mom" and meet the bus at school, but the other 3 moms were hopping in their cars - so what was I to do - well follow that bus!!!!
After a little confusion, Morgan made it to her classroom and only had minimal tears when I left, but her teacher put her arm around Morgan and reassured her that it was going to be a great day!

I can see that the plan to sleep last night went really well - posting at 4:12 am?!?!? Seriously, no one else can grow up and go to big school because I don't think I can handle it!!
Aaaawww, she's growing up so fast. Glad you both handled it so well. And it's ok Ashley, you can homeschool the rest of the tribe.
I love their little uniforms - I am going to go buy me a khaki shirt navy polo and pink sneakers!!
Great first day of school photos.
