Does this require an intervention?

A former room mother friend told me that she looked at children's socks at the beginning of the school day. The color of the socks gauged whose moms were asked to bring food to the class parties and whose moms were asked to bring the paper products. This particular piece of info is haunting me (you'd think the meds would eliminate the haunting - oh but NO)...

If the room mother asks me to bring napkins and cups I am toast! So... what am I doing??? What any other insane OCD mother would do...

Bleaching school socks on my bathroom counter in a Pyrex dish... I am laughing at the ridiculousness of this as I am writing it, but it's not stopping me...

Providing paper products is NOT a bad thing!!! Cuts down on time for sure and deciding what to cook that is nutritious!! LOL

Just buy new socks! I would love to bring just paper products.

Do you know how many people WANT to bring paper products!!!! Seriously, with one dirty little boy (and Deana used to get pretty grungy, too), "Shout" is my laundry must have. It gets it all out of all my kids WHITE socks and shirts with no yellowing that can sometimes happen with bleach. I just this weekend bought the big ole refill!

What kind of mother has time to look at other kids socks??? When I was room mother, I was just happy to have the people show up with their stuff!!

Oh dear heaven, I should just keep my secrets to myself but anyhoot...the girls' socks have ALWAYS been baked goods worthy!!! Sigh, haven't ya'll ever heard of bleach and hot water? Bet not one of ya'll even has a bottle of bluing in the cabinet. Sigh, you youngsters, just wait until you're looking for the secret to getting that red mud outta baseball pants or washing the new cheerleading uniform without the colors running, mock me then :b

OMG this is hysterical! I'm now curious about the casserole dish. If you are uptight about the socks, what about the next recipe you prepare in the "sock basin"? LOL... I know I'm terrible cuz I'm trying to push you over the edge :-)
